EVALUATION OF ONE OF MULTICHANNEL ANALYZER - CELLDYN 1600

Abstract

Evaluation of accuracy was assessed by a correlation study between results of Cell Dyn 1600 and both S plus Jr and Reference manual method. Although significant positive correlation was present for all parameters (r • range 0.93 and 0.99) it was fair correlation for midzone (r = 0.45 and P < 0.0001) but still significant.

Measurement of precision of Cell Dyn 1600 by the method of replica was carried out on 27 samples for (Hb, WBC and platelets). The instrument was found to highly reproducible (within run and between run precisions) for normal and high parameters with low coefficient of variation. However with low parameters, the coefficient of variation was high, inspite of that, the standard deviation was low and it is statistically accepted linearity was assessed by studying the effect of serial dilution on Hb, WBC and platelets. It was perfect throughout the tested ranges sample to sample carry over was measured .by successive analysis of samples with high and low concentrations for (WBc Hb and platelets), the carry - over was negligible for the three parameters.
