Abstract

The present study was carried out on Origanum syriacum L. in El-Maghara Research Station - Desert Research Center, 90 Km South El-Arish City in the middle of Sinai (North Sinai Governorate) during the two successive seasons of 2013 and 2014.
6.2. Aim of Research Study
The objective of experiments of this research study was to inestigate the effect of silicon and amino acids as foliar-spray application on vegetative growth, yield and chemical internal composition of oregano plants (Origanum syriacum L.) under saline water stress conditions in North Sinai region during 2013 and 2014 seasons.
6.3. Cultivation and Harvesting
Seedlings of oregano were obtained from El-Sheikh Zowayed Research Station - Desert Research Center, North Sinai Governorate. Homogenous seedlings of 12-15 cm in height were transplanted in the field on 3th March 2013 and 11th March 2014 at distances of 50 cm between hills (one plant/hill) and 70 cm between rows. A drip irrigation system was installed using droppers 4L/h that dispense hour every three days. Harvesting of the herb of oregano plant was carried
