NUMERICAL TREATMENT FOR SOME PROBLEMS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER . IN MICROPOLAR BOUNDARY LAYERS

Abstract

Through the current study we introduce new similarity variables. Numerical solutions to the governing diemensionless equations are presented using different numerical methods. We examine the effects of second order boundary layer approximation, section, injection, magnetic field, variable viscosity with temperature, pressure stress work, viscous dissipation, isothermal heat and mass surface, uniform heat and mass flux surface and variable surface temperature. The velocity, microrotation distribution, temperature and concentration profiles are shown graphically. The effects of micropolar materials parameters on the boundary layer characteristics: wall shear stress, wall couple stress, heat and mass transfer are obtained. A comparison has been done with the corresponding results for Newtonian fluids.
