Efficiency of a Suggested Program for Developing Translation Skills among Student Teachers in English Language Sections in Faculties of Arts in Libya

Abstract


The research is comprised of six chapters and the Corpus ofthe suggested translation program. It included twenty lessons.
The research reached a number of findings. Among them ate:

[I]. There were statistically significant mean differences between the performances of the 4th year English experimental group students and control group students in the pre-post test in favor of the experimental group in translation, vocabulary, and on both sections. This was explained as a direct effect of the suggested program
[2] There were statistically significant mean differences between the performances of the 4th year English experimental group students group in the pre-post test in favor of the post test in translation, vocabulary, and on the test as a whole. Also, this result is attributed to the effect ofthe suggested program on developing the students' skills in translation and vocabulary as well.
[3] App.lying different teaching methods as the "translatioh workshop" proved to be effective.
