Abstract
Numerous advances have occurred in the understanding of cerebral aneurysms and subarachnoid hemorrhage in recent years. There have also been major studies in management strategies and techniques with many myths revisited, many approaches reconsidered, and many "forbidden frontiers" successfully conq uered. This work does not shyer away from areas of controversy, but attempts to reach a consensus whenever possible.
This study included thirty-seven cases of ICA saccular aneurysms, managed by different a pproaches, accord ing to their site and i ndications. The principle goal of this thesis is to illustrate the i ndications of d i fferent modalities of surgical management with spec ial emphasis on the increasi ng scope of endovascular techniq ues.
