Abstract

Blepharoptosis with poor levator function especially if unilateral has always been a problem to the ophthalmic surgeon: The choice of surgery was mainly a unilateral or bilateral frontalis suspension with different sling material. In this work we have explored a new technique of an internal sling, using the Whitnall's ligament, performed on thitty cases. Both sh01t term and long term efficacy and complications were criticized. In selected cases of ptosis with poor levator function, this technique can be a beneficial option.
