MINERALOGY OF TUSHKA SOILS IN RELATION TO ITS ORIGIN, GENESIS AND PROPERTIES

Abstract


The present investigation was undertaken to study the mineralogical characteristics in relation to origin, genesis and properties of some Tushka soils (26 profiles with 72 soil samples). The studied area is bounded by longitudes 30° 45- and 31o 59- east and latitudes 22° 9• and 23° 20- north.. It contained three physiographic units (1) level sand terrain (15 profiles with 40 samples), (2) undulating terrain (7 profiles with 21 samples) and (3) hilly terrain (upland) terrain (4 profiles with 11 samples).
