Femtosecond Laser for Deep Lamellar Endothelial Keratoplasty in the Porcine Model

Ossama Tarek Sayed Nada;

Abstract

We performed an ex-vivo study using 80 porcine slaughterhouse globes and 42 human eye bank globes.
We used the porcine eyes to reach the optimal parameters needed by an experimental prototype laser to produce a deep lamellar cut at a depth of 320µm.
