Abstract


Primary Health Care is the principal method for achieving the goal of "health for all" by the year 2000. The corner stones for this approach are multisectoral cooperation, appropriate technology, community participation, sound referral system and equitable distribution. The importance of C.P. as one of the principles of PHC delivery has received increasing recognition since the declaration of Alma-Ata on PHC in 1978.
Family planning is a very important issue because of the high growth rates exceeding the country's capabilities to expand its resource base.
