Abstract


This study included three parts, 1) isolation and characterization of microcystins from some Egyptian freshwater cyanobacteria, 2) influence of environmental conditions, common in Egyptian freshwater ecosystem, on the growth and toxin production of these species, and 3) removal of microcystins produced by these strains using different kinds of activated carbons.
