EFFECT OF SOME DRUGS ON THE IMMUNE RESPONSE OF SHEEP VACCINATED WITH A POLYVALENT CLOSTKIDIAL VACCINE

Abstract

The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of oxytetracycline, vitamin AD3E anf Fasinex on the immune response of sheep vaccinated with polyvalent clostridial vaccine. Administration of oxytetracycline at the same time of vaccination with polyvaent clostridial vaccine showed that decrease in antibodies titers in sera of sheep. Group of sheep drenched fasinex at the time of vaccination show marked increase in antitoxin titers. Injection of vitamin AD3E at the same time of vaccination increase the antibody titers in sheep. The ELISA technique was carried out on the same serum sample. The result rum parallel with that of toxin neutrilization test.
