THE EFFECT OF TRAINING EFL PRE-SERVICTEACHERS IN REFLECTIVE TEACHING TECHNIQUES ON IMJ>ROVING THEIR TEACHING SKILLS

Abstract
The problem of the present study can be stated m the following questions:
1. what is the effect of using a program in journal writing on improving
EFL pre-service teachers' reflective journal writing?
2. what is the effect of using a program in journal writing on improving
EFL pre-service teachers' teaching skills?
More specifically, the second question can be branched into the foll9wing questions:
2.1. what is the effect of usmg a program in journal writing on improving EFL pre-service teachers' reflective teaching skills?
2.2. what is the effect of using a program in journal on improving EFL
pre-service teachers' teaching performance ?
Limitations of Study:
I. The subjects involved 111 the study were selected from fourth-year English majors at the faculty of Education, Minia University. That is because they have previous teaching experience and background Knowledge in methodology. Generalizing the results of the present study to different samples is warranted.
2. All the subjects involved in the study were female because the policy followed in assigning pre-service students to schools is based on segregation between sexes.
3. The study was limited to only thirty-four student-teachers because of the demanding nature of studying reflective strategies which requires holding individual conferences and the weekly feedback on the journals they submitted.
