APOLIPOPROTEIN E GENOTYPES IN CORONARY HEART DISEASE PATIENTS DETERMINED BY POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION
Randa Mohamed Sabry Zaki;
Abstract
Apolipoportein (apo E) plays a central role in the metabolism of cholesterol and triglycerides. It is one of the major protein constituents of chylomicrons, VLDL, their remnant particles and HDL. On these particles apo E serves as a ligand for their uptake by lipoprotein receptors.
