Abstract

The present study aimed to solve some problemes during mushroom cultivation at spawn production, mycelial stage and fructification . Three Pleurotus species were selected to carry out the experiments . The study included the following items .
Spawn production on different substrates and determination of optimal condition for the spawn for the three Pleurotus species in addition to the effect of some fungicides at different concentration on microfungi contaminating rice straw and yields of Pleurotus species .In the meantime pretreatment of rice straw by hot water and detergents and their relation to the yields of Pleurotus species were assessed .Also detection of some enzymes during the mycelial growth and fruiting of Pleurotus and detection of ligninolytic enzymes in liquid and wood meal media . The study also included the effect of magnetic and electrmagnetic fields on the there Pleurotus species .
The effect of temperature on the mycelial growth of the three Pleurotus

species was studied and it was found that the optimum temperature for the mycelial growth of P.pulmonarius and P .ostreatus were 28 and 26 °C respectively while P. sajor- caju ranged from 25 to 28 °C . On the other hand the optimum pH value for P. pulmonarius , P. ostreatus and P . sajor
- ca ju were 6.5 , 5 and 6 respectively .
