considered in the process of evaluation of such a new technique.


Only by an appreciation of the potential complications of a procedure can their overall incidence be reduced to a minimum.

The potential complications of a laparoscopic procedure include

those that are inherent to laparoscopy and those are related to the specific

operative procedure.


This study presents an evaluation-o-f the intra-operative and postoperative complications met with in •wo-patients imderg l tg fuur

different laparoscopic p oceduresat Benflii Utiiversity Hospital, namely:

• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
•- - -- --
• Laparoscopic varicocelectomy.

• Laparoscopic appendectomy.

• Laparoscopic fundoplication.


The complications encountered during this study included the follwing:

A- General complications of Iaparcscopy as:

- Cardiac dysrhythmias.

- Subcutaneous emphysema.
