STUDY OF SOME PROBLEM::•, IN PLASMA DYNAMICS

Abstract

This thesis contains three chapters and a list of useful references and scientific electronic sites. It is concerned with the study of some problems in plasma dynamics in the warm state under the effect of some external fields. The governing equations In all problems describe the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) model.
In chapter one : We introduce a survey about the plasma dynamics, and some definitions of the non-equilibrium thermodynamics.
In chapter two: In this chapter we deal with the problem of the damping

of low frequency waves of small amplitudes, which propagate in a warm

plasma under the influence of a strong external magnetic field in order to ensure the confinement of the plasma, and to avoid boundary effects. We investigate the damping coefficient in two different ways taking into consideration the effects which cause the dissipation of energy. We apply the linear perturbation and the normal mode solutions m the magnetohydrodynamic model in which the essential equations are the continuity of mass, continuity of entropy, equation of motion, and Maxwell's equations. The perturbations in the mass density, components of the velocity vector, electric and magnetic fields are calculated. The estimation of the entropy production allows one to tackle the problem
