COPARATIVE STUDY OF HAEMODYNAMIC EFFECTS OF REMIFENTANIL AND ALEFNTANIL USING TOTAL INTRAVENOUS ANAESTHESIA FOR LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY
Rehab Ahmed Mohamed Aamer;
Abstract
eneral anaesthesia with TIVA is gaining increasing . acceptance because of the availability of short acting hypnotics and opioids.
Remifentanil, a new short acting opioids which is metabolized by nonspecific estrase hydrolysis in blood and tissues. In the present study remifentanil was compared with alfentanil as a post of TIVA combined with propofol for patients undergoing elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy, as regards efficacy, haemodynamic stability and adverse events.
100 patients ASAI and II of both sexes were incuded in the study.
Premedication with 7.5mg midazolam tablet followed by propofol 2mglkg as
a bolus dose then a continuous infusion of 150J.ig/kg/min. Then patients were devided into rwo groups: Group I (Remi/propo) n=50, received a loading
dose of remifentanil (1J.iglkg) followed by continuous infusion of
0.5J.ig/kg/min, Group II (alfenlpropo) n=50, received a loading dose of
• alfentanil (20J.ig/kg) followed by continuous infusion of 2J.lg/kg/min.
Endotracheal intubation was facilitated by OJ mglkg vecoronium. Routine monitors were applied before induction, and during operation.
