andwriting is a complex motor skill that is the combination of sensory, neurological, and physiological impulses. Throughout the years, it has been noticed that the unique features of an individual is embedded in the individual's handwriting.
Handwriting is a mixture of both nature and nurture. Heredity and environment play an indispensable role in the development of a person's handwriting.
Twins represent a special situation since they are sharing genetic basis as well as environmental factors that may affect handwriting. So, differentiating the similarities of writing of a pair of twins is critical in establishing the reliability of handwriting identification.
The present study aimed to study the features of Arabic handwriting in a sample of Egyptian twins.
This study was conducted on 40 pairs of Egyptian twins (20 identical pairs and 20 fraternal pairs), their ages ranged from 18 to 45 years old. Comparison of samples of handwriting in this study was based on analysis of class and individual characteristics of handwriting.
