Abstract


Effective forecasts are essential in achieving the goals of all organizations. Forecasts are central to almost all decisions in or­ ganizations. The importance of forecasting the Egyptian stock market using modern and efficient technique dictates the subject of this work. The objective of this work is to design Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) that can efficiently be used to model and forecast some of the Egyptian stock market future trends with satisfactory accuracy. Besides to the mentioned problem, an overview on some related topics such as; technical analysis. and stock market forecasting is given. In the empirical part three organizations (Commercial International Bank (CIB), Egyptian American bank (EAB) and Mobinil) that have transactions in the stock market are considered. In each case a designed Artificial Neural Network model is used to frt the given data. Also a model is developed to study the two banks (The Commercial International Bank and the Egyptian American Bank) together.
