On mid-truncated distributions and its applications

Abstract
The aim of the present paper is to study the mid-truncated distributions. Here we derive some statistical properties of the mid-truncated distributions such as moments, moment generating function, characteristic function, generating data, the maximum likelihood function. Characterizations for mid-truncated distributions are derived using some methods including (conditional moments, moment generating function and recurrence relation). As an application of these results we have obtained a mid-truncated Weibull distribution.
