Abstract
4-Alkoxy-tetrafluoropyridine derivatives were used as building blocks for the synthesis of 14- and 16-membered macrocyclic ring systems comprising pyridine and either poly-ether or amine subunits; two of the macrocycles were characterised by X-ray crystallography. © 2004 Elsevier B.V.
