"Marginal Adaptation and Fracture Resistance of Two CAD/CAM Occlusal Veneers"

Engy Nady Adeeb Gabra;

Abstract

The results were different from those obtained by Güngör and
Nemli (2018) (88) , who studied the fracture resistance of ceramic
posterior crown restorations. They found that Lithium disilicate
crowns were significantly higher than flexible nanoceramic ones
under clinically approximated conditions.
The results were also against the studies done comparing both
materials. Kensara et al (2016) (134) who studied the effect of both
static and cyclic loads on the fracture toughness. The results showed
higher values for lithium disilicate (IPS e.max CAD) compared to the
flexible nano ceramic (Cerasmart).
Moreover, Shafter et al (2017) (135) studied the effect of cyclic
loading on flexural strength of chairside CAD/CAM materials. It was
found that flexible nano ceramic exhibited lower values compared to
the lithium disilicate
