Nurses ' Performance for Patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris
Ghada EL Desouky Abdel Aziz Ibrahim;
Abstract
Nurses play important role in assessing and rapidly managing many of the problems experienced by patients with angina pectoris. The nurse caring for the patient with angina pectoris must understand the underlying mechanism of angina and recognize its subtle as well as more obvious signs. Rapid assessment and rapid response are essentially to recovery. Expert monitoring, assessment, detection and treatment of abnormalities are required together with a calm controlled attitude. Speed is essential in delivery of treatment to patient. (Samplais, Lavoie & Williams, 2013). A mixture of skill, knowledge, critical thinking, speed and commitment to quality care are desired to the staff taking care of patients in desperate need of life- saving measures, to treat the patient and have insight into complications of angina pectoris.( Lemone & Burke, 2009).
This study aimed to assess nurses' performance for patients with unstable angina pectoris through the following:-
• Assessing nurses' knowledge regarding care of patients with unstable angina.
