Abstract


Recently new antiviral drugs have been developed; these medicines called direct antiviral agents (DAA) are much more effective, safer and better-tolerated than the older therapies, therapy with DAA as sovaldi can cure most persons with HCV infection and treatment is shorter (usually 12 weeks) and safer(WHO, 2016).
Sofosbuvir (Sovaldi) is a newly nucleotide analog medication used in combination with other drugs for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, compared to previous treatment sovaldi based regimens provide a higher cure rate and fewer side effects(El Malky et al.,2016).
Community health nurses havean important role in advocating and negotiating on behalf of clients with hepatitis C, to improve access to care and meet their health needs across a range of healthcare settings ,community health nurses have been identified as being central to enhancing clients ‘understanding and management of their hepatitis C treatment, in addition, community health nurses have the ability to enhance treatment adherence and treatment response rates through the development and implementation of individualized therapeutic education and
