Association between Plateletcrit and Preeclampsia

Abstract
SUMMARY
T
his study was carried out at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital during the period between Jan. 2017 and Oct. 2017 to investigate the relationship between platelets count and platelet indices, and severity of PE.
This study included 88 pregnant women divided to two groups:
Group I: 44 pregnant women with preeclampsia with normal PC, of which, 21 (47.7%) had mild preeclampsia and 23 (52.3%) had severe preeclampsia
Group II: 44 normotensive control pregnant women
All patients were subjected to:
(1) Full medical history.
(2) Full clinical examination
(3) Abdominal examination
(4) Fetal monitoring
(5) Ultrasound investigation
(6) Laboratory investigation (platelet count, plateletcrit, mean platelet volume, platelet distribution width, liver function tests, kidney function tests and INR
