Abstract


The role of both eosinophils and total serum IgE in the defence mechanisms against parasitic infection is well known . Also , eosinophilia and increased total serum IgE level are important diagnostic parameters in some parasitic diseases . Moreover, eosinophilia and the increased total serum IgE level are useful in detection of atopy , and therapeutic follow up of allergic. diseases . So , the presei:J.t study was planned to assess the eosinophilic count and total serum IgE level in both parasitic-infected and allergic children .
