Efficacy of Enteral Lactoferrin and Oral Care with Bovine Colostrum in the Prevention of Invasive Fungal Infection in Preterm Neonates

Abstract
he present study was performed on neonates admitted in Ain-Shams University NICUs from May 2017 till May 2018. Patients were enrolled in the study after consideration of inclusion and exclusion criteria and obtaining an informed consent from the parents or care-givers.
The enrolled patients randomly subdivided into three groups:
Group A (mycostatin group): control group which involved 25 preterm neonates 10 male (40%), 15 female (60%) with mean gestational age 32.00 ± 1.41. received routine nystatin in a dose of 100000 iu /d orally or via nasogastric tube
