Work in health care has been undergoing great changes for years and is becoming even more demanding. Workplace spirituality provides employee a sense of community and connectedness through a higher level of attachment, loyalty, belonging, and enhances certain work attitudes, such as job involvement and organizational commitment, attachment, which are important in improving an organization's effectiveness and productivity and in reducing absenteeism and personnel turnover. It is offering a framework for understanding the influence of strategic leader's personal spiritual belief on strategic decision-making (Phipps, 2011).
Decision-making is the backbone of administrative functions and is a critical part of being an effective head nurse. Good and effective decisions can only be made when right information is made available at the right time to the right recipient (Maria & Ana, 2013).
