Abstract
The present thesis entitled: Synthesis, Structures and Applications of Som Transition Metal Pyrimidine Complexes, comprises three chapters. The first is concerned with the literature survey of the chemistry of 2-aminopyrimidine, aminopyrazine, 5- amio-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-thiol, adenine and benzothiazol compounds mainly from structural, applied and coordination chemistry views.
The second chapter is devoted to the experimental part. The synthesis and the analytical data of the ligands and their transition metal complexes are described. 11 ligands; cobalt, nickel and copper salts as chlorides were selected for the studies. The prepared ligands are of the azo family. The complexes were prepared in aqueous alcoholic - ammoniacal media . The complexes are with the
stoichiometries: (1:1), (2:1) and (3:2) (metal :ligand).
