Abstract
Abstract
Wind has been utilized as a source of power in different applications throughout
the years. Recently, due to the depletion of fossil fuel, environmental impact, and the
gross in energy demand all over the world, as a result, the desire to find an alternative
renewable energy sources is increased.
A general survey on wind energy is presented and discussed. The components of
Wind Turbine Double Fed Induction Generator (WTDFIG) and the operating principles
of the WTDFIG are introduced. In addition, the power flow of WTDFIG and Rotor Side
Converter (Crotor) control system are discussed.
