IP Enabled Indoor Localization System

Abstract
Thesis Summary
The indoor localization problem of a mobile node depending on a Wi-Fi network has been discussed. Primarily, based on Gaussian mixture model (GMM), a fine-grained probabilistic fingerprinting approach is proposed to estimate the location of the mobile node. The probability distribution of mobile node signal strength from fixed access points (APs) has been employed for the prediction technique. The internet protocol (IP) is used for transferring the received signal strength (RSS) values of the moving object to the server. The server replies with the predicted location to the moving node.
