Abstract
AIM OF THE WORK
General objective:
To screen for HCV infection among high risk groups in Egypt and to validate a
developed short risk assessment screening tool among them.
Specific objectives:
1) To estimate the prevalence of HCV infection among drug users, slaughterhouse
workers, female sex workers and HIV patients.
2) To validate the questionnaire-based HCV scoring tool in drug users, slaughterhouse
workers, female sex workers and HIV patients.
