Abstract
A prospective study on 60 patients with metastatic and/or locally recurrent breast cancer presented to Kasr El Ainy Center of Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine (NEMROCK) during the period 2001 to
2003. Patients were randomized ir:to two treatment arms; capecitabine, or mitomycin-C/vinblastine each arm included 30 patients. Different prognostic factors were studied in relation -to response. Assessment of overall response, toxicity, time to progression, and overall survival was done.
