Abstract

The atrophy of the residual alveolar ridge resorbtion of edentulous patients cause complete denture problems mainly pain, poor retention and instability.

Many lower edentulous ridges reqmre both surgical techniques vestibuloplasty and ridge augmentation to obtain larger denture flange thus contributing to a greater stability and retention

Ten patients were selected 9 males and lfemale ranging from 50-79 years of age, they were free from any medical problem that would contra indicate surgical intervention or affect the healing of the surgical wound.

They came complaining from their inability to use their lower dentures satisfactorily.

The aim of this study is to evaluate clinically the use of platelet gel mixed with hydroJeyapatite for a •• surgical technique including . ridge augmentation and sulcus deepening procedure to improve the denture foundation area in flat ridge cases.

Patients were equally divided into two groups:

GROUP!: 5 patients undergo anterior sulcus deepening procedure and posterior ridge augmentation using .hydroxyapatite mixed with platelet
