STUDY OF RELATION BETWEEN AUTISM AND OVERWEIGHT IN CENTER OF CARE OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEED IN AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY

Abstract
It is known fact that obesity is a major public health problem and the prevalence of obesity is increasing in all countries autism associated with abnormal eating habits and sedentary life lead to obesity, which involves consuming large high carbohydrates foodand sugary diet.
AIM AND HYPOTHESIS
To determine the frequency of obesity among autistic children, and to study relation to diet, medication, sleep, habit, physical activity.
Type of the study
The sample was a randomised Autistic childern ,The selection of cases have been held in one sites ( center of care of children with special need AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY).They were 30 cases recruited through 4 months All patients were subjected to a clinical interview derived from AIN SHAMS Sheet ,questionare was madeto study dietatic history,sleep history,exercise.measuring weight ,height,BMI,CARRS and IQ was done.
