Abstract

This study aimed to compare difference in stress induced around implant supported maxillary and mandibular cantilevered overdenture.
An acrylic maxillary and mandibular cast models were fabricated through an impression of educational stone casts. Then complete maxillary and mandibular dentures were constructed over the acrylic casts.
Five single piece implants with straight abutments were inserted at the midline, canine and second premolar areas through the use of a dental surveyor. The wax pattern of bar was placed at its position and wax coping was done then Spruing, investment and casting was done. Then finishing of the casted bar was performed. Fabrication of mucosal stimulated layer was done and the bar was placed in position followed by denture placement, then application of ten strain gauges in each cast and load was applied. Then the data was collected, tabulated and statistically analyzed.
