Raghda Salah Abdul-Fattah Morsi;

Abstract

The basic aim of teaching and learning English as a foreign language is to enable the learners to develop their communicative competence. This indicates that speaking should come as a top priority in learning any language. In EFL context, speaking is an important skill to develop. This skill requires knowing not only how to produce specific points of language such as grammar and vocabulary, but also understanding when, why, and in what ways to produce language.
