ABSTRACT
Background: Postpartum period is highly vulnerable period to unintended pregnancy as there are limited contraceptive options available in the breast feeding women. At the same time ovulation is highly unpredictable in non breast feeding or non exclusive breast feeding women. an ideal time to begin contraception, as women are highly motivated to adopt contraception at this time, which also has the advantages of being convenient for both women and health care providers.
Objective: To evaluate and compare the efficacy of IUD (Pregna T Cu 380A) insertion at cesarean section and after puerperium in terms of expulsion rate, pain and amount of bleeding.
