Bassant Senoussy Mohamed Ismail;

Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of remineralization of bleached bovine enamel after 2 days, 5 days, 10 days, 15 days and 20 days from bleaching using Remin Pro remineralizing agent on bovine enamel microhardness.
A total number of 35 specimens obtained from anterior bovine teeth were used in this study. Specimens were divided into 7 groups (n=5/group). Group 1: positive control (sound enamel), Group 2: negative control (bleached enamel), Groups 3-7: The bleached enamel surfaces were remineralized for 2 days, 5 days, 10 days, 15 and 20 days respectively. Vickers microhardness test was performed and data were collected and statistically analyzed.
The results showed that only the application of remineralizing agent for 10 days on bleached enamel yielded a statistical significant lower microhardness values compared to sound enamel.

Conclusions:
