Assessment of Nurse's Performance Regarding Prevention of Pressure Ulcerin Critical Care Unit

Abstract

Pressure ulcer is a lesion caused by prolonged pressure, friction, shear, and moisture against the skin. Prevention is better than cure and prevention of pressure ulcer requirement of early identification of patients at risk and rapid implementation of prevention interventions was very important. Nursing team members are responsible for direct and continuous care related to pressure ulcer preventionby skin assessment and care, keep moving of patients by repositioning, manage and good nursing care of incontinence and adequate nutrition and fluid intake(Grass&Buck,2017). Aim of the study: This study aimed to assess nurse's performance regardingprevention of pressure ulcerin critical care unit. It would be achievedthough: 1- Assess nurse's level of knowledge regarding prevention of pressure ulcer. 2- Assess nurse's level of practice regarding prevention of pressure ulcer. 3-Identify factors affecting nurse's performanceregardingprevention of pressure ulcer.
