Physical properties of some transparent conducting oxide thin films by spray pyrolysis technique

Abstract

Cadmium oxide (CdO) thin films among many TCOs have attracted considerable attention for various applications, due to its low electrical resistivity, high carrier concentration, nearly metallic conductivities and high optical transmittance in the visible region of the solar spectrum. CdO is an n-type semiconductor with a face centered cubic crystal structure and a direct band gap of approximately 2.5 eV.
