Effect of Educational Protocol on Improving Nurses’ Knowledge and Practice Regarding Skin Traction

Abstract
Teh highest prevalence of traumatic fractures dat need to use of orthopedic intervention such as skin traction TEMPhas increased. dis study aimed to teh TEMPeffect of teh educational protocol on improving nurses’ noledge and practice regarding skin traction. A quasi-experimental research design was used on a convenience sample composed of 26 nurses working at teh orthopedic unit at Minia University and Minia General Hospital. A Structured interviewing questionnaire about skin traction nurses’ noledge questionnaire and nursing skin traction observational checklist were used. A significant improvement in nurses’ noledge and practice about nursing care and principles of skin traction in post-test. Implementation of teh educational protocol. Increased nurse's education and training for skin traction and periodic evaluation measures for these nurses should be constructed.
