Postoperative Analgesia using Levobupivacaine Wound Infiltration with Intravenous Tramadol versus Dexamethasone Following Obstetric Spinal Anesthesia

Abstract
Background: Women undergoing cesarean section usually experience inadequate post-operative pain relief good management of this pain ensure early ambulation, infant care as well as prevention of pot operative morbidity. Combining both local infiltration with levobupivicain with IV analgesics and anti-inflammatory as a regimen of multi modal analgesia provides adequate pain management decreasing the incidence of complications. Local wound infiltration with levobupivicain was found to give adequate pain management with less cardiovascular and neurological complication in comparison to racemic bupivacaine.
