Abstract

Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization has been widely used in the worldwide institutions for the curative or palliative treatment for HCC this tumor. Especially, due to the limited surgical/transplantation indications in the cirrhotic liver with decreased liver function.
And based on that, the follow-up imaging studies following TACE with accurate diagnosis of whether or not there is a tumoral viability is crucial. Where successful management at early stages of HCC helps to avoid more complicated consequences or disease progression that has an unfavorable outcome.
