Abstract

Gasless laparoscopy is a new and exciting modality in the word of general surgery. Its use seems become to become widespread, and results will improve with training -The use of conventional surgical instruments provides an advantage with this technique.The laparolift mechanical retraction system allows the sugeon to operate in the best of both worlcds; the traditional and laparoscopic surgery. -with the laparolift system the benefits of laparoscopic observation and shorter recovery priods can easily be combined with the use of traditional instruments to produce quicker, less expensive procedures with outstanding results. The initial experience with gaslcss laparoscopy indicates that the operative time may be reduced, due to improved control during surgical manidulation.
