Effect of Femtosecond Lasik for Myopes on Corneal Hysteresis and Tonometry

Abstract
ABSTRACT
Despite the huge rise in the advancing technology of corneal refractive surgery to reduce the risks of intraoperative and postoperative complications, there is still a very small risk to develop sight threatening complication such as corneal ectasia.
Corneas at risk of ectasia are usually thinner with abnormal topographies, but some normal thin corneas with normal topographies have also developed ectasia, a distinction sometimes hard to make between myopia with such corneas and subclinical cases of keratoconus (KC) or forme frust keratoconus (FFK).
