Abstract


Head injury is any sort of injury to the brain, skull, or scalp. This can range from a mild bump or bruise to a traumatic head injury. Common head injuries include concussions, skull fractures, and scalp wounds. Head injuries may be either closed or open. Traumatic head injury (THI) is a leading cause of death and disability around the globe and presents a major worldwide social, economic, and health problem. Mortality rates after head injury are highest in people with a severe THI.so the nurses' role is essential in the prevention and early detection of this common problem with patient in intensive care unit.
Aim of the study-:
This study aims to assess the nurses' performance regarding care of Patients with traumatic head injury in critical care unit through the following:
1- Assessment of nurses’ knowledge regarding care of Patients with traumatic head injury in intensive care unit.
2- Assessment of nurses’ practice regarding care of Patient with Traumatic head injury in intensive care unit.
