Prevalence of Dental Caries Among a group of Preschool Children in El Suez City

Abstract


This study was carried out to investigate the prevalence of dental caries among a group of Egyptian preschool children in el Suez Governorate, Egypt.

A total number of 1200 Egyptian children 597 boys and 603 girls with their ages ranged from three years to five years were included in the study.

Children were examined randomly from those attending nurseries in El Suez Governorate.

Inclusion criteria:
1- Children were selected according to their ages from three to five years old from those attending nursery school.
2- All children participated in this study were free from any evidence of systemic diseases or any apparently genetic disorder.
3- Children lived continuously since birth in El Suez city. 4- Both genders were included.


Exclusion criteria
1-Uncooperative children were not included in the examination or the survey.
2-Children whose parents did not agree to participate in the study.
