Abstract

The ACL plays a vital role in the foundation of the knee joint's kinematics, Injuries to ACL represent about 1/3 of sports injuries to the knee joint
Of all autogenic grafts, the patellar tendon and pesansernius tendons are excellent graft choice for ACL reconstruction.
Arthroscopy, MRI, X-ray and examination are not to diagnose ACL injury

but to diagnose associated pathology.

50 cases with ACL deficiency were operated upon by Intraarticular reconstruction of tom ACL 25 cases by using the patellar tendon and 25 caces with pesanserinus tendons. The IKDC system and Zarins & Rowe system were used for evaluation of cases .

proper selection of cases very important especially with full .rang of motion and no effusion and no other pathology and athletic age and activity.
Postoperative the two groups were subjected to 4 phases of rehabilitation according to Shelbourne 1997 program of rehabilitation.
Postoperative pain in group A more worse than group B, swelling more badly in B than A and Lachman test better in A than B.
