Abstract
ung ultrasound (LUS) is as an easily accessible, radiation-free imaging technique that might be used as a diagnostic tool in pneumonia.
This is prospective cohort study was carried on 36 patients in Critical care unit, they admitted to Ain Shams University hospital by clinical picture of pneumonia for further investigation and management during the period from May 2019 to January 2020.
This study aimed to detect the accuracy of Lung ultrasound in the diagnosis of pneumonia.
All patients in the study were subjected to Symptoms evaluation, General and local chest evaluation, detailed history taking, Clinical examination, Routine lab investigations like (CBC, CRP, renal functions, liver functions) and specific radiological investigations include chest X ray, lung ultrasound and chest CT.
